IN PERSON TRAINING
Designed and delivered by seasoned presenter and accessibility consultant of over 15 years Jason Strawbridge, this in-person seminar has already been delivered hundreds of council staff throughout NZ since its launch in 2018 and is constantly updated to reflect changes in the NZBA, NZBC, Acceptable Solutions, or more frequently the MBIE Determinations pertaining to accessibility.
This is the most effective and comprehensive training package we offer. It has an excellent balance of presenting, discussion and pen and paper activities throughout the day that are later reinforced with a building ‘walkaround’ (usually your local library, event center or other public building) during which we are accompanied by local people with different disabilities, who are happy to demonstrate how they engage with the building, and provide the attendees with a safe environment to ask questions that will further their understanding of accessibility.
The content is dynamic and can be adjusted to suit the roles and experience levels of the room.

The target audience of this full day (7-8 hours) accessibility training is council building consent and inspection staff with varied knowledge and experience levels.
However the seminar is on point for anyone wanting to up-skill around the area of accessibility legislation and accessible design e.g. architects, project managers, and urban designers.
