Jason Strawbridge
Accessibility specialist, Training facilitator & Universal Design advisor
I provide a perspective that is rarely represented within a single practitioner. My 22 years of professional experience spans the full accessibility ecosystem from end users and advocacy groups, through design, review and construction, to regulatory review and compliance assessment.
Throughout my career I have operated at the intersection between disabled people, designers, developers, building owners and regulators, frequently acting as a bridge between these groups when expectations, terminology, priorities or interpretations differ.
What drives my work is the belief that good accessibility benefits everyone. Whether it’s minimising costly rework, achieving faster consents, or creating spaces that genuinely serve a diverse range of people. I’m here to build lasting collaborative relationships with firms and organisations that share my values, and help the building industry deliver buildings that are better designed and inclusive by default.
I’ve contributed to a broad range of public and private sector projects, many of which have received national architecture and landscape awards. These outcomes prove that accessibility and great design are not mutually exclusive.
